EVENT of the SEASON!

Spring has begun springing and with that brings enthusiasm, inspiration and a general feeling of ‘lets get moving and get healthy!’ It does for me, and I am fairly certain for most of you too. We are heading into the busy season, the last term of school is almost apon us, which means December will soon be here, which then means that its holiday season where we get to be making merry! But, lets not get too ahead of ourselves here… Before we head into the crazy season of jolliness wouldn’t it be nice to be armed with an idea of how and where to be healthy when we don’t have anyone Telling us to be? Armed with information that keeps us feeling alive instead of falling into the same old trap as yesteryears of  indulgence?

Love Pilates would love to welcome you to join us for a morning of movement,  an interesting talk on ancestral nutrition AND you get to meet Hey Gorgeous in the flesh. The Natural Skin Care range that is taking the world by storm one gorgeous tub of body cream at a time.

Pierre from The Centre for Optimal Health, will be chatting to us about ancestral nutrition, taking us through a introductory Tai Chi movement session and you can even make an appointment with him for Body Stress Release has this to say:

Growing up as a boy I was almost constantly suffering with some type of allergy and between the ages of 12 and 16 I witnessed both my grandparents and my close friend at school’s tremendous suffering with cancer and chemotherapy.  Also influenced by my mother who, a rather holistically minded nursing  sister and eventually a body stress release practitioner, I cultivated an extremely powerful desire to explore the fields of natural health from a very young age.

As soon as I had completed high school I left South Africa to go and travel and live in South East Asia where I became completely absorbed in exploring, studying and practicing a wide range of various ancient healing arts:  Reiki, meditation, yoga, massage, Tai Chi and other martial arts, breathing exercises, fasting and doing every diet under the sun, you name it and I did it.  I ended up spending  5 years in Thailand living very much like a monk, with little care for social life, completely engrossed in one or other healing practice or study.  I worked in prestigious health resorts such as the Tao Garden, studying as well as  teaching and I also travelled widely seeking out any and every obscure and interesting health mentor I could find.  I eventually focused my endeavours on Nutrition,  Tai Chi, Yoga and at age 23 I was also the youngest qualified Body Stress Release practitioner.

Throughout this period I gradually experienced huge shifts in my own health and well being.   I realized that a lot of the medical concepts that we grow up with do not allow us to grasp just how powerful our body’s (and mind) ability to self heal really is.

Inspired by my own results, and by  the many incredible natural recoveries I witnessed with the people I worked with in health resorts, I identified 4 simple basic chore principles for optimal health:

optimal posture, optimal nourishment, optimal breath , optimal mindfulness = optimal health.

As a certified and experienced Body Stress Release practitioner (www.bodystressrelease.com), Nutritional Therapist (www.nutritionaltherapy.com ), Tai Chi/yoga and meditation teacher (www.universal-tao.com)  I am able to guide people to improve on any of these four core  elements of health… and it is my absolute passion and privilege to do so.

Robyn from Love Pilates will be taking you through a short Pilates based movement class to get those joints oiled, bodies released and endorphins awake in order to get the most benefit from this Movement morning.
